The 9th edition of the Afghan International Film Festival in Sweden has scheduled to screen three Iran-Afghanistan coproduced films.
‘Parting’ directed by Navid Mahmoudi, ‘Overruled’ by Farnaz and Mohammadreza Jourabchian, and ‘The Shade’ made by Parham Keivani will be screened during the festival in September.
An Iran-Afghanistan coproduction, ‘Parting’ tells the story of two young Afghans in love, Nabi and Fereshteh. Fereshteh leaves the country with her parents to seek refuge in Iran and Nabi is to seek a better life for his love. The love story fluctuates between reaching and separation.
‘Overruled’ depicts the lives of some young Afghans who found refuge in Iran after the trembling time of war in Afghanistan. The boys have started working in low positions in Iran, but working hard, they have achieved considerable accomplishments.
This edition of the event is slated for September 9 and 10 in the Swedish city of Stockholm.
